Let It Snow, Let It Snow, Let It Snow!

February 13th, 2007 by bubbles006 in Uncategorized · No Comments

Hey everybody! What’s new? Nothing really going on here. Today we’re having, yet again, another snow day. We got plenty of inches so far. And it is SO cold!! The temperature goes from -10 to 20 degrees. Actually, I don’t think I’ve seen 20 degrees in a little while now. We went sledding not that long ago. Since I’m barely getting over the flu and bronchitis, I only went down the hill a few times. The snow on the hill was up to my knees! Brr! As soon as it stops snowing, I’m getting pictures of the house covered in snow to put on here. This is the time where I’m glad that I bought snow boots a month ago. Well, I guess I’m going to go. Bye for now!

Hey everyone! How was your Christmas? Mine was good. I got a puppy, a bird, and things for my puppy and bird and of course clothes. Yesterday we had a snow day, so that meant no school. Yay! Then this morning we went sleding at the lake. It snowed all day and night yesterday. It was fun, but it was REALLY cold. =) I have to go, it’s y turn to clean the ice off of the porch steps. =/

My Last Day

December 19th, 2006 by bubbles006 in Uncategorized · No Comments

Well, y’all, today is my last day to officially live in Texas. At least until college. As soon as school lets out today, we’re going to the house to get the truck and we are going to head to Missouri. And by tomorrow night, we should be putting boxes into our new house. Speaking of the house, I’ll tell some about it.
So, its a wooded house with brick on it. Two story, full basement, hardwood floors, full dining room, living room, big back and side yards, and all! I already called one of the upstairs bedrooms, but I don’t know which one yet. I think maybe the one with the HUGE walk in closet, but like I said, I’m not sure. I’ll try to post pictures as soon as I can. I know that I have a picture of most of the side of the house, but it was to big to get a full picture of on the phone.
My grandparents said that we’ll be so lucky because when we move up there, we should be covered in a foot or two of snow. So that’ll be “fun” I guess you could say. Well, I’m going to go because I see some cookies calling my name. Bye y’all!

Cellphones - Should They be Allowed in School?

December 15th, 2006 by bubbles006 in Uncategorized · No Comments

For my opinoin, cell phones should be allowed in school. Kid’s use them when they have problems, when they forget papers or projects at home, and when they need something. Isn’t that the whole reason parent’s buy their kid’s cellphones? I mean, school’s know kid’s are going to use them anyways. Right? Whether it be during class or when they go to the restroom to use their cells. When a child has a problem (could be personal problems, or school problems), or is sick at school, they call their parents. But the school punishes them for it and that’s like punishing the kid for having problems. School’s don’t let you have your cellphones on during school and if you do have a problem then your pretty much out of luck. I believe that if a kid has a problem than they should be allowed to contact their parents withour having to worry about a nurse or secretary or princapal lisening in and the only way to do that is to use your cell phone.

My Christmas “Tradition”

December 8th, 2006 by bubbles006 in Uncategorized · No Comments

My family doesn’t really have a tradition. My grandma and grandpa either come down to Texas or we go up to Missouri, where they have the big celebration. We switch just about every year possible. That’s pretty much our only tradition. But this year, since we’re moving up there six days before Christmas, we’re really going to get to experience the big celebration. And hopefully from now on we’ll get to experience it. When we go up there, they always bake a big cake and sing “Happy Birthday” to Jesus at my grandparent’s house and there is always about 100 presents under their tree. The night before, all the kids open up one of their smaller gifts. When we wake up or the adults wake us up at about 5 a.m., we go after the stocking’s first. After we’ve cleaned those out, everybody makes their way over to the good stuff. All the kid’s pass out the gifts while the adult’s take pictures and talk. We wait until everyone has all of their gifts and then we open them all at once. Then everyone sits there and messes with their gifts, poses for pictures, and finally get something to eat. When we’re done with all of that, we go to wherever we’re staying and the rest of the family goes to their house and opens up the presents from our parent’s. After we’re all done with the presents, had eaten lunch, and got some more rest we call each other and decide if we’re going over to my aunt’s house, or back over to my grandparent’s house, or both. We stay for another day or two and then we leave back for Texas and open up whatever gifts we have there. That’s pretty much the usual “tradition.”

The War in Iraq - is it a “Civil War”

December 4th, 2006 by bubbles006 in Uncategorized · No Comments

For my assignment, I chose the war in Iraq. President Bush isn’t calling it a “civil war”, but many people are saying it officially is. A civil war is an armed conflict between a government and internal challengers that results in the deaths of a large number of people. In October, over 3,700 Iraqis were killed.
I think that this affects Kaufman because people in Kaufman have family and friends fighting in the war. When somebody hears that their family member or friend has passed, it leaves a sad feeling that sweeps over almost all of Kaufman. When somebody hears that person is coming back home, it also has a feeling that sweeps over almost all of Kaufman.
I found this article very interesting and I learned a lot about one thing that is going on in the world. http://www.pbs.org/newshour/extra/features/july-dec06/civilwar_11-29.html

The only bad part about it all is that my parents and little brother are all sick!! So its going to be very interesting to see how the day is going to turn out.

My Thanksgiving

December 1st, 2006 by bubbles006 in Uncategorized · No Comments

My Thanksgiving wasn’t all that exciting, but atleast I got to sleep in! My dad moved in with us officially though. He took us out to Furr’s for an early dinner/late lunch. I didn’t eat that much. I definately didn’t eat turkey though!! Ew! My grandma called and told us that we got the house in Missouri and she might have a job for my mom there already. I hope that you’re Thanksgiving was more exciting than mine.
